Thanks for that, we had a version of better movement without sliding but there was a rather annoying bug with slopes.

Currently I have a functional version of these movements added to a (catastrophic...) use of raycast adjusting the platforms, once the voting and game jam phase is finished it will take effect with the other modifications to make the game more playable and more complete.

so... first thanks for the discovery of a new bug (the options still activate during the first load). (by the way, we are going to add a close button or specify that you have to click on T again)...

Then if you would have passed the vertical corridor you would have found a new dream catcher which would have given you the power to activate the levers.

I'm currently on unity fixing the game's problems and the fact that the character no longer slides + a modification of the map during this passage makes it much easier (a lot of people can't do it (strangely.. .)).

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to try out our game during a video.

PS: congratulations you are the first to have found MrCircle (our teleportation tool during the tests left here as an easter egg).

Thanks, the levers become accessible when you collect the second dream catcher.

 here is mine, good stream!

hey, I already tested/rated/commented your game, here is mine: Rate Deepest Dreams by Valber's Games, Onilaf for Brackeys Game Jam 2023.2 - itch.io

hey I don't know if you plan to continue developing your game afterwards but in doubt:

-Is it normal that in the third room there are so many enemies spawning in a row that it is impossible to cross it?

-I have the impression that the eyes can see you through the wall, is that normal?

-An automatic reloading of the weapon when more bullets would be greatly appreciated.

-Also made sure to prevent enemies from spawning on the player.

Besides that it's a very good little game that can grow into a bigger one.

here is my game if you haven't done it already, hope you enjoy it

thanks

a little help will be provided in a version after game jam

thanks

Deepest Dreams is a platformer where you dive into the protagonist's dreams. You have to travel through this world, both simple and complex, to collect the memories's fragments scattered all over the map. You will also find powers allowing you to advance further and deeper in this strange dream!

We are a team of 2 French developers who have created our very first game, "Deepest Dreams," as part of our first game jam. We made this game entirely as a team of two : Programming, Graphics, Audio.

After the game jam we intend to improve our game, collect all the feedback received to solve the problems it has. Greatly increase the size of the map, new mechanics, mysteries and add a deeper story (because for now the game doesn't really have a story aspect). Ideally we would like to go for something as big as Ori and Hollow Knight.

hey, i just finished testing/rating/reviewing your game, so here's mine: Rate Deepest Dreams by Valber's Games, Onilaf for Brackeys Game Jam 2023.2 - itch.io

really a very nice game. The only flaw is that enemies can spawn on you but knowing that the difficulty is not high, it's ok.

fire and water? It was not wanted but thank you for this remark

sometimes difficult to know which key to press to move forward or backward (especially when the thread changes direction but not the controls) but otherwise it's really a very good game with innovative gameplay!

really a very good game, but is it normal that the web version doesn't work? Or it's just my PC, it's stuck at 90%...

thanks and ok

Thanks !

Thanks a lot

thanks !

very good little game, however I had trouble knowing which rocks were obstacles and which ones I could cross..

I just finished your game which I found excellent, here is mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236142

excellent game I've finished, I'll be waiting for you at the bar!

here is my game: Rate Deepest Dreams by Valber's Games, Onilaf for Brackeys Game Jam 2023.2 - itch.io. I have already played yours and as proof I am 3rd on the leaderboard!

excellent little game that can very well be found on a play store or other. The audio and graphics go very well together!

very good game putting directly in the desired atmosphere. The only flaw is the spawn in a new map sometimes on enemies which takes away a life despite the invulnerability time.

Here is my game: Rate Deepest Dreams by Valber's Games, Onilaf for Brackeys Game Jam 2023.2 - itch.io and now I'm going to test yours !

thanks for the feedback

Thank you for your message, the unlocked key is Shift (for a dash to pass the grids). the checkpoints will have an appearance in a future version of the game (which we improve after the game jam), I personally thought of a cool mechanic idea and an animation related to the fact that the character looks like a will-o'-the-wisp and allowing to have a respawn which does not "break the 4th wall" but I still have to discuss it with my teammate.

Thanks for the feedback, maybe in the next version we will try to find a way to give direction to those really lost

Thanks

Very good game but it has a penalty of 1 point and you know exactly why!

thank you for your return, you must be one of the rare people to really like the too "slippery" movements of our game!

fun game, a bit empty without background music. But the tutorial is very appreciated!
